Veterans Day

Just wanted to take a minute and remember all those who have served in the Armed Forces!!! I have a Grandpa who served in WW2 and 2 uncles that served in Vietnam and now a husband and a brother currently on active duty and deployed. When I was in High School I was in JROTC and every year we would go and march in the Veterans Day parade...what an honor it was to be able to honor those who have and are serving. I am thankful that my child is in a school district that honors Veterans Day, that is not something that happened in my school district as a kid and I think it is important for kids to know and acknowledge this day!!! My sister in law sent me a story called Sack Lunches yesterday and at the end was this quote...I dont know who said it but it really touched me!!!!

"A veteran is someone who, at one point in his life wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America ' for an amount of 'up to and including my life.' That is Honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it.'" -unk

Thank you to those who have written those checks to the USA to keep us safe and give us the freedoms we have today...thank you for taking the fighting overseas so that my children dont have to wake up to gun battles and bombings and can feel safe in their home! God Bless the Armed Forces!

Denver 2008

All the sisters!!!!

Girls group hug

All of my mom and dads grandkids

Half the Wilson grandkids for Halloween

My pink poodle and my purple butterfly for Halloween

We had the opportuinity this last week to go to Denver for the week. We left on 10/29 and stayed at my moms house. We were able to spend Halloween with the Toms Mom and Dad, Tammy, Mac, Monique, Joey, Levi, Quinn, Tia, Deven, Shaeliegh, Tiff, Kayden, Tara, Lincoln and my mom. The aunts took the girls trick or treating-thank goodness cause I dont know that I could have walked that much and then carried Lena home like Tiff did! On Sat my mom, Steph, Celia and Toms mom threw me a baby shower and I was so glad to be able to see and spend a lil bit of time with friends and family!!! We got alot of really nice things and much needed things. Sat evening we went to Casa Bonita for Elenas 3rd Bday...again thanks to ALL the aunts for tending to the girls and taking them all over Casa Bonita so that I could sit and rest!!! I think everyone had alot of fun! We were also able to spend quite a bit of time with Paul, Steph, Mia, Kylie and Marcus. The kids had so much fun together. Bella and Mia are already BFF's-I hope Lena and Kylie will be the same way. We FINALLY got to meet lil Marcus and he is such a lil sweetie and soooo adorable! He is such a good baby-I hope my new lil guys is that good! The only down side to the trip was that I was sick the whole time and still am and that Lena starting having problems with her asthma again but thankfully we had the nebulizer and we were able to start her on those so that she didnt have to go to the hospital. The girls were also able to get 2 appts in with Dr Andrews at Denver Allergy and Asthma and both have been diagnosed with asthma and allergies now! They are both on daily meds and inhalers and thankfully they seem to be helping! We have 5 more weeks til the boy's birth and 6 til Tom makes it home!!!! I cant wait to see them both!

What a Blessing!!!!

I received this pic on my email this morning!!! This is my sweetie and my baby brother. Carlos is stationed at Ft Carson and Tom is stationed here at Ft Hood BUT Carlos unit is also overseas and just happens to be at the same place my sweetie is!!! Carlos' actual platoon hasnt made it to that camp yet due to lack of space but Tom and Carlos have been able to see each other a couple times now. It is such a blessing for me to be able to have my husband and my brother being able to check on each other even if it is only for a few minutes!!! I am sooooo proud of both of them for serving their country!!! We miss you guys and you are always in our thoughts and prayers!!!

Lil Man...

Just a quick update....the lil man will be making his grand entrance on Fri Dec 12, 2008. Things are going fine. We go back on Wed for a 2nd 3 hr gestational diabetes test but other than that things are good. We decided to have him with out daddy being here because we have one to many experiences with the Army and the Army time and were a lil nervous that he wont make it home on the 21st to have baby on the
22nd so Tom and I decided to go ahead and have him as early as the dr would let us and get some healing time in before Tom makes it home. I think this will take alot of stress off Tom, the girls and me!!! My mom will be coming on the 10th to take care of all of us and to help out til Tom can make it home. Bella is doing AMAZING in school and is loving it! She is such a happy girl this year! Elena is still on protest to the potty but Daddy and Grandma seem to think when they are here she will conform to their ways and start the wonderful process of "boombies"-thats panties to us normal people!!! We will see who wins that battle. Zeppelin has been with the trainers for 2.5 weeks now and from what I hear is doing great. She will be home this week and I am praying that she is much more controlled and calm! Not to worry though cause Lulu has made sure we havent missed Zeppelin by taking over as the "naughty" dog! Celia has been here visiting for about 2 weeks now and hasnt begged to go home so we must be doing something right! We have really enjoyed having her here and she has been such an amazing help for me! We are heading to Denver for a week on Oct 29 and are looking forward to a hopefully relaxing break and seeing friends and family!!!!

6 years and still going strong!!!!

Today is our 6th anniversary!!! We have spent 1/2 our anniversaries together and 1/2 apart as well as about 1/2 our marriage living together and 1/2 living apart due to the military. 2 3/4 kids later here we are still going strong and loving our life together. I love and respect him more as the days go by and am so happy he is mine. I love our life together the good and the hard. I dont enjoy being apart esp on days like today but he is so wonderful about making sure Im not forgotten and making sure that I know I am loved, being apart has made our marriage stronger and forces us to communicate and thrive no matter how difficult the situation. I love you Tom Wilson and I love being your wife!!! Happy Anniversary!

Stealing Cinderella

SO I KNOW OUR GIRLS ARE ONLY 5 AND ALMOST 3 BUT WHEN I HEAR STUFF ABOUT DADDYS AND THEIR LIL GIRLS IT MAKES MY HEART SWELL AND I THINK ABOUT TOM AND HIS GIRLS!!!! HE LOVES THOSE GIRLS MORE THAN I CAN EVEN SAY AND HAS A SPECIAL BOND WITH THEM....I HEARD THIS SONG TODAY....ITS BEEN OUT FOR A LONG TIME BUT THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME I HEARD IT. ITS THE SONG PLAYING ON MY BLOG NOW AND CALLED "STEALING CINDERELLA". HERE ARE THE LYRICS!

STEALING CINDERELLA

I CAME TO SEE HER DADDY, FOR A SIT DOWN MAN-TO-MAN IT WASN’T ANY SECRET, I’D BE ASKING FOR HER HAND I GUESS THAT’S WHY HE LEFT ME WAITING IN THE LIVING ROOM BY MYSELF WITH AT LEAST A DOZEN PICTURES OF HER SITTING ON THE SHELF

CHORUS

SHE WAS PLAYIN’ CINDERELLA

SHE WAS RIDING HER FIRST BIKE

BOUNCIN’ ON THE BED AND LOOKING FOR A PILLOW FIGHT

RUNNIN’ THROUGH THE SPRINKLER WITH A BIG POPSICLE GRIN

DANCIN’ WITH HER DAD, LOOKIN’ UP AT HIM

IN HER EYES I’M PRINCE CHARMING, BUT TO HIM I’M JUST SOME FELLA RIDING IN STEALING CINDERELLA

I LEANED IN TOWARDS THOSE PICTURES TO GET A BETTER LOOK AT ONE WHEN I A HEARD A VOICE BEHIND ME SAY NOW, “AIN’T SEE SOMETHING SON” I SAID “YES SHE’S QUITE A WOMAN” AND HE JUST STARED AT ME AND I REALIZED THAT IN HIS EYES SHE WOULD ALWAYS BE

REPEAT CHORUS

WELL HE SLAPPED ME ON THE SHOULDER THEN HE CALLED HER IN THE ROOM WHEN SHE THREW HER ARMS AROUND HIM THAT’S WHEN I COULD SEE IT TOO

SHE WAS PLAYIN’ CINDERELLA

SHE WAS RIDING HER FIRST BIKE

BOUNCIN’ ON THE BED AND LOOKING FOR A PILLOW FIGHT

RUNNIN’ THROUGH THE SPRINKLER WITH A BIG POPSICLE GRIN

DANCIN’ WITH HER DAD, LOOKIN’ UP AT HIM

IF HE GIVES ME A HARD TIME, I CAN’T BLAME THE FELLA I’M THE ONE WHO’S STEALING CINDERELLA

Where have I been?!?!?!

5 days after surgery2 weeks after surgery
Its been almost a month since I wrote the last time and there is a good reason for that!!! I think some of you know that I had surgery on 9/5. This lil heavy boy that is cooking right now and has one trimester left as of today gave me severe carpal tunnel syndrome in the rt hand so we had to get it taken care of!!!! My friend Christina has stayed with me the last 2 weeks and has been a HUGE help taking care of the house, the kids-all 3 and ALL the CRAZY dogs!!! We have survived the madness around here including another round of kidney stones, a lil 5 yr old who misses her dad, a 7 mo old who is teething and has diarrhea and a diaper rash, a 2.5 yr old who has decided bed is for everyone but her and the neighbor threatning the dogs!!! Its been a fun 2 weeks-Christina deserves a heroes award and a nice vacation!!!!

The baby is doing well.....I am 27 weeks today-13 left!!! Tom should be coming home around Dec 21 for the babys birth! I have only gained 7 lbs and I am measuring 28 weeks! I measured a week small with the girls so Im guessing this lil man is going to be a lil bigger than his sisters!

Tom is no longer at Basrah Air Station. He has been moved north again closer to Baghdad. He has had a lil more work at the new place but not much more. It is good that things are so quiet there right now but it does make the time pass slowly! The girls and I miss him so much and cant wait to see him! I am thankful that he makes a huge effort to email and to send pics often! I am grateful that we are able to talk on the phone and have internet access! Modern technology has made this deployment so much easier! It also made it so that my amazing husband could send me these beautiful flowers the day after surgery!!!! What a sweetie!
