2 wk ckup....

Slade had his 2 week checkup today and weighed 8lbs 10oz and was 20.6" long...he is progressing well and will only take a bottle...so unlike his sisters. We are enjoying this lil man and the only time we hear noise out of him is when he is hungry or when he needs to poop! Already got those "male" characteristics down! LOL! He is a great lil sleeper..lets pray all this continues after Tom heads back!

Xmas 2008

We had a really nice Christmas this year. It started with the birth of Slade on the 16th....My mom was there with me in the OR while he was "hatched" and she was able to cut the cord! Celia and Christina were taking care of my kids and my dogs and I am sooooo grateful to them because I don't leave my kids hardly ever and esp overnight but they did a great job with them and my kids were well taken care of!!! A HUGE thank you to them!

We came home from the home from the hospital on the 18th and on the 19th at about 530ish I FINALLY got a phone call from Tom after about 3 days of no word from him that he was in Atlanta and would be home in 3 hours!!! Words cannot describe the relief I felt to know that he was safe and would be home soon to meet his new lil son and to see all his girls-me included!! My mom and Celia left on Sat morning and on Mon Toms family arrived!!! Mom, Dad and Troy drove straight through from Denver and Todd and Nicki flew in and Tom picked them up at the Austin airport.

It was a pretty easy going week...we didn't do much except enjoy lots of great food...starting with Nicki's amazing baked potato soup and rolls, the next day was Xmas dinner consisting of ham, green bean casserole, twice baked potatoes, salad, corn, fruit salad, the amazing Nicki rolls again and cheesecake. The day after mom made lasagna with garlic bread and we had left over cheesecake!!!!

Xmas morning for the girls was pretty exciting. This is the first year Elena has actually understood and had an interest in unwrapping gifts. It was pretty cute. Bella's first question was why are all the gifts wrapped in our wrapping paper....only Todd and Nicki heard her so the question went unanswered! The girls got a ton of Disney toys that have been sitting in my closet since May and things from Iraq and Paris that Tom brought for them! I got all 4 books of the twilight saga from mom and dad and things from Spain, Paris, and Bahrain from Tom....I have already finished the 1st book and I will be starting the 2nd one today!

On Sat evening Slade was blessed here in our home by Uncle Todd. Slade looked soooo handsome in his white dress shirt and khakis. He was perfect during his blessing. We are thankful that Bro and Sis Spencer took time from their family to come and be here at our house so that Slade could be blessed and we are grateful to Dad, Troy and esp Todd for being part of his blessing.

We have a lil over a week before Tom has to head back to the sandbox to finish out his tour-about 4 more mos to go....so we will make the most of this week. Slade has his 2 week checkup this week so we will see how he is progressing! mom has all the pics from Xmas and the blessing on her camera so once i get them from her i will post pics!!!! We love and miss you all and hope everyone had a merry Xmas and a wonderful new year!!!

Slade Marek Wilson was born on 12/16/2008 at 1059 am. He came via c-section and weighed 8lbs 4 oz and was 20" long. He is a BEAUTIFUL baby and is a good mix of both of his sisters. We are all doing good and still waiting on Tom to get here. Thanks for all your well wishes and support!!!

Quick Update....

Im sure some of you were wondering if maybe we had the baby and thats why I havent posted in soooo long but NO! He is still snug as a bug in there and doesnt seem to have any desire to emerge anytime soon!!! I am dilated to a 3 and have had the membranes stripped but nothing! We go to the dr again tomorrow but dont think we will have anything to report! We do have a c-sec scheduled for Dec 16..changed from Dec 12 because we are hoping that Tom will make it home in time for the boys birth....I am lucky that the drs have been so flexible with letting me change dates so much to go along with toms leave dates changing. Keep your fingers, toes and eyes crossed that he makes it here! The girls are driving me CRAZY...I know right now its a very short drive to get there but my patience for them and the messes and acting up is wearing very thin! It doesnt help that they have been sick off and on for the last month!!! We keep getting these random 102-103 fevers with no other symptoms! Our house needs to be rid of the crazy germs and illnesses before baby gets here so that he doesnt end up sick!

Thanksgiving was good. My mom came and made thanksgiving dinner for Christina and I. We had turkey, grn bean casserole, funeral potatoes, mashed potatoes, homemade rolls, stuffing, fruit salad, relish tray and pumpkin pie. It was all very good. Too many leftovers but very good!!! My mom was here for almost a week and helped me accomplish soooo many things in my house! Thanks a million mom! She will be coming out again at some point either during or after babys birth-of course depending on Toms schedule!!! The next entry will prob be letting the world know that the boy has made his grand entrance into this crazy world!

Veterans Day

Just wanted to take a minute and remember all those who have served in the Armed Forces!!! I have a Grandpa who served in WW2 and 2 uncles that served in Vietnam and now a husband and a brother currently on active duty and deployed. When I was in High School I was in JROTC and every year we would go and march in the Veterans Day parade...what an honor it was to be able to honor those who have and are serving. I am thankful that my child is in a school district that honors Veterans Day, that is not something that happened in my school district as a kid and I think it is important for kids to know and acknowledge this day!!! My sister in law sent me a story called Sack Lunches yesterday and at the end was this quote...I dont know who said it but it really touched me!!!!

"A veteran is someone who, at one point in his life wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America ' for an amount of 'up to and including my life.' That is Honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it.'" -unk

Thank you to those who have written those checks to the USA to keep us safe and give us the freedoms we have today...thank you for taking the fighting overseas so that my children dont have to wake up to gun battles and bombings and can feel safe in their home! God Bless the Armed Forces!

Denver 2008

All the sisters!!!!

Girls group hug

All of my mom and dads grandkids

Half the Wilson grandkids for Halloween

My pink poodle and my purple butterfly for Halloween

We had the opportuinity this last week to go to Denver for the week. We left on 10/29 and stayed at my moms house. We were able to spend Halloween with the Toms Mom and Dad, Tammy, Mac, Monique, Joey, Levi, Quinn, Tia, Deven, Shaeliegh, Tiff, Kayden, Tara, Lincoln and my mom. The aunts took the girls trick or treating-thank goodness cause I dont know that I could have walked that much and then carried Lena home like Tiff did! On Sat my mom, Steph, Celia and Toms mom threw me a baby shower and I was so glad to be able to see and spend a lil bit of time with friends and family!!! We got alot of really nice things and much needed things. Sat evening we went to Casa Bonita for Elenas 3rd Bday...again thanks to ALL the aunts for tending to the girls and taking them all over Casa Bonita so that I could sit and rest!!! I think everyone had alot of fun! We were also able to spend quite a bit of time with Paul, Steph, Mia, Kylie and Marcus. The kids had so much fun together. Bella and Mia are already BFF's-I hope Lena and Kylie will be the same way. We FINALLY got to meet lil Marcus and he is such a lil sweetie and soooo adorable! He is such a good baby-I hope my new lil guys is that good! The only down side to the trip was that I was sick the whole time and still am and that Lena starting having problems with her asthma again but thankfully we had the nebulizer and we were able to start her on those so that she didnt have to go to the hospital. The girls were also able to get 2 appts in with Dr Andrews at Denver Allergy and Asthma and both have been diagnosed with asthma and allergies now! They are both on daily meds and inhalers and thankfully they seem to be helping! We have 5 more weeks til the boy's birth and 6 til Tom makes it home!!!! I cant wait to see them both!

What a Blessing!!!!

I received this pic on my email this morning!!! This is my sweetie and my baby brother. Carlos is stationed at Ft Carson and Tom is stationed here at Ft Hood BUT Carlos unit is also overseas and just happens to be at the same place my sweetie is!!! Carlos' actual platoon hasnt made it to that camp yet due to lack of space but Tom and Carlos have been able to see each other a couple times now. It is such a blessing for me to be able to have my husband and my brother being able to check on each other even if it is only for a few minutes!!! I am sooooo proud of both of them for serving their country!!! We miss you guys and you are always in our thoughts and prayers!!!

Lil Man...

Just a quick update....the lil man will be making his grand entrance on Fri Dec 12, 2008. Things are going fine. We go back on Wed for a 2nd 3 hr gestational diabetes test but other than that things are good. We decided to have him with out daddy being here because we have one to many experiences with the Army and the Army time and were a lil nervous that he wont make it home on the 21st to have baby on the
22nd so Tom and I decided to go ahead and have him as early as the dr would let us and get some healing time in before Tom makes it home. I think this will take alot of stress off Tom, the girls and me!!! My mom will be coming on the 10th to take care of all of us and to help out til Tom can make it home. Bella is doing AMAZING in school and is loving it! She is such a happy girl this year! Elena is still on protest to the potty but Daddy and Grandma seem to think when they are here she will conform to their ways and start the wonderful process of "boombies"-thats panties to us normal people!!! We will see who wins that battle. Zeppelin has been with the trainers for 2.5 weeks now and from what I hear is doing great. She will be home this week and I am praying that she is much more controlled and calm! Not to worry though cause Lulu has made sure we havent missed Zeppelin by taking over as the "naughty" dog! Celia has been here visiting for about 2 weeks now and hasnt begged to go home so we must be doing something right! We have really enjoyed having her here and she has been such an amazing help for me! We are heading to Denver for a week on Oct 29 and are looking forward to a hopefully relaxing break and seeing friends and family!!!!

6 years and still going strong!!!!

Today is our 6th anniversary!!! We have spent 1/2 our anniversaries together and 1/2 apart as well as about 1/2 our marriage living together and 1/2 living apart due to the military. 2 3/4 kids later here we are still going strong and loving our life together. I love and respect him more as the days go by and am so happy he is mine. I love our life together the good and the hard. I dont enjoy being apart esp on days like today but he is so wonderful about making sure Im not forgotten and making sure that I know I am loved, being apart has made our marriage stronger and forces us to communicate and thrive no matter how difficult the situation. I love you Tom Wilson and I love being your wife!!! Happy Anniversary!

Stealing Cinderella

SO I KNOW OUR GIRLS ARE ONLY 5 AND ALMOST 3 BUT WHEN I HEAR STUFF ABOUT DADDYS AND THEIR LIL GIRLS IT MAKES MY HEART SWELL AND I THINK ABOUT TOM AND HIS GIRLS!!!! HE LOVES THOSE GIRLS MORE THAN I CAN EVEN SAY AND HAS A SPECIAL BOND WITH THEM....I HEARD THIS SONG TODAY....ITS BEEN OUT FOR A LONG TIME BUT THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME I HEARD IT. ITS THE SONG PLAYING ON MY BLOG NOW AND CALLED "STEALING CINDERELLA". HERE ARE THE LYRICS!

STEALING CINDERELLA

I CAME TO SEE HER DADDY, FOR A SIT DOWN MAN-TO-MAN IT WASN’T ANY SECRET, I’D BE ASKING FOR HER HAND I GUESS THAT’S WHY HE LEFT ME WAITING IN THE LIVING ROOM BY MYSELF WITH AT LEAST A DOZEN PICTURES OF HER SITTING ON THE SHELF

CHORUS

SHE WAS PLAYIN’ CINDERELLA

SHE WAS RIDING HER FIRST BIKE

BOUNCIN’ ON THE BED AND LOOKING FOR A PILLOW FIGHT

RUNNIN’ THROUGH THE SPRINKLER WITH A BIG POPSICLE GRIN

DANCIN’ WITH HER DAD, LOOKIN’ UP AT HIM

IN HER EYES I’M PRINCE CHARMING, BUT TO HIM I’M JUST SOME FELLA RIDING IN STEALING CINDERELLA

I LEANED IN TOWARDS THOSE PICTURES TO GET A BETTER LOOK AT ONE WHEN I A HEARD A VOICE BEHIND ME SAY NOW, “AIN’T SEE SOMETHING SON” I SAID “YES SHE’S QUITE A WOMAN” AND HE JUST STARED AT ME AND I REALIZED THAT IN HIS EYES SHE WOULD ALWAYS BE

REPEAT CHORUS

WELL HE SLAPPED ME ON THE SHOULDER THEN HE CALLED HER IN THE ROOM WHEN SHE THREW HER ARMS AROUND HIM THAT’S WHEN I COULD SEE IT TOO

SHE WAS PLAYIN’ CINDERELLA

SHE WAS RIDING HER FIRST BIKE

BOUNCIN’ ON THE BED AND LOOKING FOR A PILLOW FIGHT

RUNNIN’ THROUGH THE SPRINKLER WITH A BIG POPSICLE GRIN

DANCIN’ WITH HER DAD, LOOKIN’ UP AT HIM

IF HE GIVES ME A HARD TIME, I CAN’T BLAME THE FELLA I’M THE ONE WHO’S STEALING CINDERELLA

Where have I been?!?!?!

5 days after surgery2 weeks after surgery
Its been almost a month since I wrote the last time and there is a good reason for that!!! I think some of you know that I had surgery on 9/5. This lil heavy boy that is cooking right now and has one trimester left as of today gave me severe carpal tunnel syndrome in the rt hand so we had to get it taken care of!!!! My friend Christina has stayed with me the last 2 weeks and has been a HUGE help taking care of the house, the kids-all 3 and ALL the CRAZY dogs!!! We have survived the madness around here including another round of kidney stones, a lil 5 yr old who misses her dad, a 7 mo old who is teething and has diarrhea and a diaper rash, a 2.5 yr old who has decided bed is for everyone but her and the neighbor threatning the dogs!!! Its been a fun 2 weeks-Christina deserves a heroes award and a nice vacation!!!!

The baby is doing well.....I am 27 weeks today-13 left!!! Tom should be coming home around Dec 21 for the babys birth! I have only gained 7 lbs and I am measuring 28 weeks! I measured a week small with the girls so Im guessing this lil man is going to be a lil bigger than his sisters!

Tom is no longer at Basrah Air Station. He has been moved north again closer to Baghdad. He has had a lil more work at the new place but not much more. It is good that things are so quiet there right now but it does make the time pass slowly! The girls and I miss him so much and cant wait to see him! I am thankful that he makes a huge effort to email and to send pics often! I am grateful that we are able to talk on the phone and have internet access! Modern technology has made this deployment so much easier! It also made it so that my amazing husband could send me these beautiful flowers the day after surgery!!!! What a sweetie!

Parker Colorado Tornado

Here is a pic that my sister took from my moms balcony with her camera phone! This was taken last night when a tornado touched down in the Parker, Colorado area where my mom, Leste and Navi live!!!

Kindergarten!!!

Well its official...Bella is a Kindergartener!!! Today was her first day of school. She wasnt too thrilled about waking up at 615-wait til early morning seminary-but after her shower and getting dressed she was a lil more excited. She said her stomach was hurting and Im guessing nerves so she didnt eat breakfast just drank some orange juice and we were out the door with lil sister in tow! I have never seen a school so chaotic as her school this morning. We had to park on the lawn! Inside the school was not much better but I waited with her til her teacher took her class in the room and she seemed fine and no freak out phone calls as of yet so I think we are good! Im anticipating 245 so that I can go pick her up and see how day one went!!! I cant believe that Tom and I have a lil one in Kindergarten! I couldnt get her to take a pic with her backpack but here she is on her first day of school!!!

Sea World-San Antonio again!!!

This last weekend was another Sea World Adventure for us....this time with Carlos, Celia, Christina and Abram. It was a 2 hour drive down there for the day and we came back that night. We had a great time as usual...the only downfall was the DOWN POUR we got caught in!!! It rained like crazy for about 45 min and we had to hide out under a sales booth! We were soaked and never dried so we ended up having to go buy new clothes at Old Navy once we left Sea World to go to dinner in and drive home! We were so glad that Carlos and Celia were able to come spend the weekend with us and that we were able to see Carlos before he heads out for the sandbox in a week or two!

Cameron Park Zoo

On Friday my friend Jessica and I decided to our kids to the zoo. Here in Killeen we dont actually have a zoo so we drove an hour to Waco to go to the zoo. I realized with the couple of different zoos I have seen since living in 3 different states the last few years how spoiled and lucky I was to have the Denver Zoo. Cameron Park Zoo is tiny and we made it through the whole zoo in 2 hours and that included a stop for nachos and a drink. Nevertheless the girls loved it. I think the best exhibit was the jaguars and across from them was the coyotes so not only were we out of the sun for those but the animals were actually awake and doing something-as you can tell from the pics it was hard to find animals to take pics with!!!! Alot of the animals were sleeping I think because of the heat. Bella says her favorite thing to see was the Meerkats and Lena says her favorite thing was the elephants both of which were awake. When we got in the car at 1230 to leave Jessicas temp said 98! We will have to keep trying out different zoos until we find one as great as the Denver Zoo although it was nice to not have the crowd the Dever Zoo ALWAYS has!!!!

My Unusual Day!!!

So I know to most of you waking up at 645 is a normal thing, well here in this Wilson household we sleep in...always have-I trained Bella as a lil tiny baby to sleep in and she still will when permitted! OK well the girls and I do and when Tom is here 645 is sleeping in to him so lets say his schedule doesnt count!!! Anyway-Today I got up at 645 and SHOWERED!!! Thats really not a typical thing for me to do in the morning...that usually happens about 5pm! Even when Tom is here most of the time I shower right when he gets home! I took Lulu and Zeppelin to the vet because today was the day of their spay-poor babies!!! I stopped for breakfast at Burger King-a fav of mine but never get it because I dont really make it out of the house before noon so breakfast is done by then!!! Came home and gave Elena a bath....again not something that usually happens because I usually just toss her in the 5pm shower with me!!! So for her getting a bath was a huge treat! I was out the door by 930am and off to register Bella for school! School registration started 2 weeks ago and I have been avoiding doing this but finally made it a point to do it today! I stopped by the mall, went to clothing and sales on post and went and met Christina at Subway for lunch-ALL BEFORE NOON!!! This afternoon consisted of time at Christinas, shopping for school supplies and picking up the pups from the vet! I was proud of myself for all that was accomplished esp cause sooo much of it was stuff I have continued to put off but I have one thing left to do today and that is to mow the lawn!!! Now like I said for most of you this is a very typical day BUT for me this was a VERY UNUSUAL DAY!!!

Bella is on her own vacation!!!!

After a couple of mos of my mom asking Bella to come to Denver to visit she finally decided she would be ok to leave mom and go see Grandma for a lil bit. I took her to Austin last night where her and Grandma stayed in a hotel and caught a 8am flight. They arrived safely in Denver and when I talked to her all she wanted to tell me about was the tiny white dog she saw in the bathroom named Elmo!!! She will be able to spend Mias 6th birthday with her, attend Carlos & Celias wedding on Sat, see my dad this weekend and see Tim, Tiff and the kids before they head out. I didnt think I would already miss her but I do and even though this will be a nice lil break for me I will be ready when shes ready to come home!!!!

How many months left????

Whoever says that being a stay at home mom esp when your hubby is gone is easy...well they have lost their minds and most of the time I think Im about to lose mine!!!! The girls have adjusted a lot better to having daddy gone but that doesnt stop the constant messes and mounds of toys all over the place!!! They have been swimming almost everyday and though it wears them out they still are going to bed really late and not taking naps!!! Today they swam and then decided they wanted a bubble bath....fine, ok, whatever! Well I guess Lulu decided she had swam with the girls and now she needed a bubble bath too so i had to quickly grab the camera to prove these stories are indeed real!!! Lulu thanks to Kimber-her lil rat terrier friend has learned how to get out of the yard and we have a barbed wire fence and a huge field and goats behind out house. Yesterday she got out 3 times so the last time she decided she needed to

romp in the field so I had to left Bella over the barbed wire fence and have her go chase Lulu...well she had on flip flops and 2 steps into going to get Lulu she stepped in cactus....well good thing she only got 2 small slivers in her foot and the dog came back with some coaxing of treats but Lulu had to climb through the fence and I had to left Bella over and in the process ripped my shirt!!!! On the other side of things Bella made this adorable picture of our family including the new baby!!!! How many months left?????
